Whirlowdale's head office at Rotherham, South Yorkshire, co-ordinates the groups national handling network, which includes four automated or semi-automated pallet manufacturing units. Increased manufacturing capability now makes Whirlowdale one of the UK's largest pallet handlers.
One of the group's most efficient pallet construction plants is sited in Burton on Trent. This extensive site has a fully-automated two-way entry pallet making machine which has significantly increased new pallet production capability. Schedules are fully compliant with customer needs, combining efficiency, quality and speed of delivery.
The Rainham site in Essex is ideally situated to provide quality products and service for London, the south east and eastern England. Our capability in the south is further strengthened through the pallet manufacturing operations based at Sheppey in Kent.
The West Midlands depot in Lichfield boasts the largest pallet recycling plant in the Whirlowdale Group. Extending to almost five acres, the site handles over 800,000 pallets annually and provides top quality recycled wooden pallets for UK and European markets.
