The Whirlowdale Group are committed to supporting local and national charities, with work being done in Sheffield soup kitchens, a yearly charitable donation in partnership with CHEP and the continued backing of the Tesco Race for Life.

Whirlowdale’s Rainham depot has been prominent this year in their charitable backing.

Carol Vale, depot Co-ordinator, has once again completed the Tesco Race for Life with her daughters, Sarah & Carly.

Carol exceeded last year’s donation with a total of £773 raised for the worthy cause.

For this year’s Children In Need campaign, fork lift drivers and yard workers at the Rainham site dressed as Ballerinas for the day! Kitted out in tutus and fluorescent leg warmers the lads spent the day collecting for the charity whilst fitting in time for a small interview with the local press. BC Essex News coverage meant that the site had a few extra visitors that day as people stopped by to admire their outfits and donate to the charity.
